Test Equipment

CDT offers a top quality range of test equipment for the rapid and efficient characterisation and testing of display and TFT devices.

Our EclipseTM testing systems are the most technically advanced on the market and have been proved through many years of development and evaluation. Two new models have been introduced: one aimed at simpler DC only applications, and the other allowing testing of thin film transistors (TFTs).

Works with P-OLEDs, SMOLEDs, PHOLEDs and even inorganic LEDs!

DDUs picture 3In use at CDT since 1998, systems have been supplied to our licensees and development partners, and have proved to be cost effective, reliable and simple to use in the characterisation of OLED technologies and products.

The current EclipseTM product range has applications in both research and pilot production environments, which include:

- Material screening
- Device architecture optimization
- Process and product development
- Acceleration factor derivation
- Product reliability testing
- Drive scheme development

Specific advantages which have made the CDT EclipseTM testing system the industry standard include:

  • Flexible
  • Robust
  • Easily expandable and upgradeable
  • Ease of use
  • Fully developed
  • Extensive functionality, yet user-friendly software

Eclipse DC Digital Drive Units (DC-DDU)

CDT introduces a new model specifically designed for DC-only applications. Maintaining all the DC functionally of the successful DDU range with a simpler and compact achitecture.

The added benefits over other test systems are:

  • Low cost but highly advanced
  • Very simple to set up and easy to use
  • Simpler construction which leads to higher reliability
  • Daughter boards are hot swappable which allows the same test boards to test various different device types
  • Space savings as all the test fixtures and drive electronics are on the same boards
  • Virtually no cabling. The only cables are the 2 wire communications and the power supply for each board. Both of these are daisy chained over the boards

For your convenience, a brochure is available to download HERE.

Eclipse TFT Digital Drive Units (TFT-DDU)

CDT presents a new product targeting the Thin Film Transistors (TFT) market, including conventional a-Si, LTPS, and emerging Organic-TFT technology.

The added benefits are:

  • Voltage sweep for Gate or Drain
  • Output and Transfer Scans for Gate and Drain
  • Constant Monitoring of Drain and Gate current vs. Time
  • Current-Voltage Sweeps
  • Life test of TFT devices to accurately determine a range of parameters over time including:
    • threshold voltage shift
    • mobility change
  • Low Noise sampled measurements
