One of the drivers which is making P-OLED technology the solution of choice for display companies is the efficiency of manufacture. P-OLEDs are solution processable and can therefore be applied to a substrate using ink jet printing.

CDT is sole supplier to the display industry of the Litrex range of Ink Jet Printers (70/120/142/M4 (Gen 4)). CDT has also partnered industry leaders across the globe to offer a fully inclusive ink jet package. To support the Litrex printer range CDT can offer development inks, print heads, know-how and skills development packages.

We can offer you a bespoke solution to your ink jet printing needs in both passive and active matrix display formats. Passive displays can be produced in both monochrome or block colour, while active displays can be full colour.

A typical ink jet printing project would have the following stages:

i) Definition: Specification of bank material and structure, pixel pitch and layout, encapsulation requirements.

ii) Print trials: Formulation of inks, printing of test plates, alignment trials, analysis of results

iii) Display print:  Printing of substrates with TFTs, cathode deposition and encapsulation, tab / driver attachment, testing

iv) Process transfer: Knowledge and skills transfer through hands on training, transfer of formulation and supplier information, consultancy to establish the process at the customer's site.
