P-OLEDs - The Key To Outstanding Displays
Cambridge Display Technology, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical, leads the development of display technology based on polymer organic light emitting diodes (P-OLEDs). P-OLEDs offer superior performance characteristics to other display technologies, such as liquid crystal displays, in many applications.
P-OLEDs are already in commercial use, and we expect to see our technology used in mobile applications, televisions and lighting.  CDT owns key intellectual property around P-OLED materials, devices and processes, such as inkjet printing, which are used in the manufacture of P-OLED displays.
