Post-Doctoral Researcher, High Thermal Conductivity Materials (Chemistry)
As a chemist in the high thermal conductivity materials team you will design, synthesise and characterise novel organic materials and organic-inorganic composites to meet technical requirements and produce proposals to evaluate, adapt and improve materials towards project targets. The role will involve working within an interdisciplinary team of chemists, physicists and material scientists, and collaboration with the Intellectual Property team and external Open Innovation partners.

Post-Doctoral Researcher, Chemist (Battery Materials)
CDT currently requires a Post-Doctoral Researcher to contribute to our research and development activities within an ongoing project on high-performance batteries. The role involves designing, synthesising, and evaluating novel functional battery materials. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to generating ideas for future CDT technologies in general.

Post-Doctoral Researcher, Chemistry (Fluorescent Tags)
An opportunity has arisen at CDT for a Chemist, to work as a Post Doctoral Researcher, interested in developing the next generation of fluorescent tags (F-Tags) for biomedical applications. In this role, you will provide a strong scientific contribution to the development of fluorescent nanoparticles, designing and synthesising novel fluorophores for inclusion in our proprietary F-Tags.

Senior Market and Commercial Analyst
We are seeking a Market and Commercial Analyst to join our professional, and highly motivated Proof of Concept (POC) Business team. The POC Business team is responsible for supporting the identification and commercial evaluation of new business opportunities in materials-based product areas which fit within CDT and Sumitomo Chemical Company’s (SCC), our Japanese parent company, business aspirations. This role will support the technical teams to build a holistic early stage business vision by leading a commercial perspective on market and customer needs, market and regulation analysis, manufacturing cost analysis, financial feasibility and other key features. In addition, the successful candidate will support SCC’s business units and corporate research by providing analysis of the market and regulatory landscape for projects CDT is involved in, identifying potential customers, partners and early market entry opportunities.
