Patent Analyst
We are seeking a Patent Analyst to join our professional, and highly motivated Intellectual Property (IP) team. The IP team is responsible for developing and executing first-in-class IP strategies to protect CDT’s and, Japanese parent company, Sumitomo Chemical’s (SCC) technologies. The Patent Analyst will also work closely with SCC’s Corporate Venturing and Innovation (CVI) teams who are responsible for identifying potential start-up companies for partnership opportunities. The role will involve developing, performing, and analysing comprehensive IP landscapes, and other types of IP searches such as patentability, FTO and validity searches.Closing date for applications:

Post-Doctoral Researcher, High Thermal Conductivity Materials (Chemistry)
As a chemist in the high thermal conductivity materials team you will design, synthesise and characterise novel organic materials and organic-inorganic composites to meet technical requirements and produce proposals to evaluate, adapt and improve materials towards project targets. The role will involve working within an interdisciplinary team of chemists, physicists and material scientists, and collaboration with the Intellectual Property team and external Open Innovation partners.Closing date for applications:

Post-Doctoral Researcher, Chemist (Battery Materials)
CDT currently requires a Post-Doctoral Researcher to contribute to our research and development activities within an ongoing project on high-performance batteries. The role involves designing, synthesising, and evaluating novel functional battery materials.
